Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy Explained
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT)
Improving Clitoral Sensation
Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) is a scientifically proven treatment that has been shown to regenerate nerves, improve blood flow, and increase sensation in the area of application. Now, this incredible technology is available at ALVR to help women increase their sexual satisfaction.
What is ESWT?
Do you feel like your sex life is just… OK? Not bad, but could be better? If you’re curious about ways to kick things up a notch, ESWT may be what you’re looking for.
Sex can be one of the most pleasurable experiences there is. Unfortunately, there is a “pleasure gap” between men and women: men orgasm ~90% of the time during sex, but women only orgasm ~40% of the time. Many psychological and physical factors play into sexual satisfaction. While some have straightforward solutions, others are outside of individual control (hormones and genetics, for example).
Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive, non-hormonal treatment designed to close the pleasure gap by helping you achieve orgasm and boosting your sexual satisfaction. ESWT uses targeted acoustic soundwaves to stimulate blood flow and nerve regeneration right where it counts: the clitoris. It’s an easy, painless way to wake up your intimate sensation and kick things up a notch in the bedroom.

ESWT helps address the following symptoms:
- Decreased sexual sensation or difficulty reaching orgasm.
- Reduced clitoral blood flow or responsiveness.
- Changes in sensitivity due to aging or hormonal shifts.
Is ESWT Right for You?
ESWT is a type of acoustic soundwave therapy where a high amplitude soundwave is focused on a small area (the clitoral body) using a handheld wand. This soundwave causes a painless regenerative effect underneath the tissue which can lead to increased vascularity, improved nerve function and overall increased sensitivity and sensation.
ESWT was first used as a highly successful tool for treating ED in men. Because penile and clitoral tissue are closely related, when ESWT is applied to clitoral tissue, the clitoris can become more sensitive. This leads to greater sexual responsiveness and more frequent and intense orgasms. The total number of treatments the patient will undergo depends on how their body responds to ESWT, but typically 1 treatment per week for 6 weeks is recommended.
If you have any of these symptoms, or if you have more questions, contact us to schedule a consultation and discuss your options.
How Does ESWT Work?
During an ESWT session, a smooth handheld wand delivers focused acoustic soundwaves to the clitoral tissue. The process is completely painless and triggers your body’s natural regenerative response—improving nerve function and increasing micro-vascularization for enhanced sensitivity.
Individual sessions are $400. A standard treatment plan consists of six quick, weekly sessions, priced at $2,400 for the full package.
There’s zero downtime, meaning you can get right back to your daily routine immediately after the treatment.
You can expect heightened responsiveness and more intense orgasms as your tissue heals and rejuvenates over time.
For even greater results, especially for women with Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSSD), many patients pair ESWT with SottoPelle testosterone replacement therapy to further boost arousal, mood, and energy. Sottopelle TRT has the effect of increasing the size of the clitoris, which boosts sensitivity and sexual arousal. There are also other positive side effects, such as more energy and boosted mood.
