What is a Clitoropexy?
Clitoropexy is a surgical procedure that elevates and repositions the clitoris to reduce excess prominence and create a more natural position and contour. The procedure is carefully tailored to the patient’s anatomy, with an emphasis on preserving function and sensation.
Clitoropexy may be performed as a standalone procedure but is often combined with labiaplasty and/or clitoral hood reduction when treatment of the surrounding tissues is also desired. The procedure is often a critical step in achieving natural appearing labia minora after reduction.

How Does a Clitoropexy Work?
Clitoropexy is an in-office procedure performed under local and oral anesthetic. Through a small incision on the clitoral hood, the clitoral body is elevated and tucked between the labial folds. Our approach minimizes scarring and preserves sexual function.
Clitoropexy is often performed in combination with other vulvar procedures, such as labiaplasty or clitoral hood reduction, to achieve a balanced, natural aesthetic tailored to each patient’s individual anatomy and goals.
In patients with clitoromegaly, clitoropexy is done in conjunction with clitoral prepuce reduction to further reduce the overall size of the clitoris.
All of these procedures are performed in our office surgical suite under oral and local sedation.
