Vaginal Rejuvenation is indicated in patients with an increased caliber (diameter) of the vaginal canal with no evidence of prolapse.  Symptoms of increased vaginal caliber may include decreased sensation during intercourse or a sense of vaginal “looseness.” Perineorrhaphy (reconstruction of the perineal body) is the procedure of choice to restore vaginal caliber. If the caliber is increased and prolapse is present, then vaginal prolapse repair or sacrocolpopexy will normalize the caliber and restore vaginal length.
