How Much Does Vaginoplasty Cost?

The term vaginoplasty can encompass a few different procedures, including vaginal tightening with surgery (vaginal rejuvenation or perineorrhaphy) or laser or sometimes prolapse surgery.

Laser therapy is performed in the office for mild relaxation and is not covered by insurance, the cost will vary depending on the clinic. Vaginal tightening to treat gaping vagina or overly relaxed vagina after deliveries or that may occur with age is typically billed through insurance. Often, when this relaxation is present, there is also some degree of rectocele (prolapse or protrusion of the rectum into the vagina).

Women with rectocele may also experience a sensation of not emptying completely with BMs, multiple BMs a day and a vaginal bulge sensation. When rectocele and vaginal relaxation are present, the vagina is treated surgically by lifting and lengthening the vagina and the vaginoplasty is inherently part of the procedure, by tightening the distal vaginal muscles.
