Labiaplasty is often paired with a clitoropexy and/or clitoral hood reduction to remove excess surrounding tissue and create a result you’re happy with. How Does a Labiaplasty Work?
Your journey begins with a complimentary, confidential consultation where we discuss your symptoms and aesthetic goals and create a personalized plan. On procedure day, Dr. Shashoua uses precise techniques under local anesthesia or sedation to gently trim excess tissue, carefully contouring the labia and clitoral hood while protecting nerve sensitivity.
In patients with enlarged labia that pull down on the clitoris, labiaplasty is done in conjunction with a clitoral hood reduction and/or clitoropexy. This brings the clitoris back to its natural position and also reduces excess tissue which may be present once the clitoris is elevated.
This allows for a more natural, cohesive appearance of the labia and clitoris following labiaplasty while preserving the sensitive nerve endings.
All of these procedures are performed in our office surgical suite under oral and local sedation.
