Ok, but surgery in another city? How does that work?  

As with all patients, we conduct a consultation leading up to your labiaplasty. This can be either in-person or remote. We realize that not everyone can make it to Austin for their consultation, so we’re pleased to offer remote visits as an option. Using a secure photo portal, remote patients upload photos ahead of their consultation. We’ll then speak over the phone to review your photos, discuss your history and align on goals and expectations for the surgery. 

From here, we’ll book your procedure. Most procedures take place in our comfortable, modern offices in north Austin near the shopping and dining district, The Domain. As you’re planning, you’ll want to make sure you have a friend or relative who can give you a ride before and after your procedure, since you’ll be unable to drive. You will need to come to the office the day after your visit for a final check before you head back home.  You will want to plan to take a week off to recuperate. 

Before you know it, it’s time for your procedure – and don’t worry, it’s super simple. All patients will be given medicine to help relax ahead of time, and we use a topical anesthetic to numb the area. Before you know it, the procedure is over and it’s time to go and recover. 

We like to see patients once or twice following their labiaplasty to make sure that they’re healing appropriately. For out-of-towners, we realize this isn’t always possible so we also offer virtual follow-up appointments. You can learn more about the recovery process here.
