First, we’ll schedule a consultation to better understand your needs and goals and align on a plan for your labiaplasty. If you’re able to come for an in-person consultation, that’s great! If not, no worries: we also offer remote consultations. These aren’t all that different from in-person consultations, however, with remote consultations we’ll typically ask patients to use a secure photo upload feature on our website before discussing next steps over the phone.

The labiaplasty procedure itself is performed in our Austin office. We’ll provide you with medicine to help you relax and mitigate any pain. A patient-controlled inhaled analgesia is provided and we’ll use a topical anesthetic to numb the labia for your comfort. Once the procedure is done, you’ll need someone to give you a ride from our office to wherever you will be recuperating.

For the recovery period, it’s recommended that you take a week off from work following the procedure. While we usually prefer to see patients once or twice in-person following their procedure, we understand that it’s not always practical for those who travelled to see us. If you’re doing well following surgery, we can often schedule a remote visit for post-op.
