Mons Pubis Reduction (Monsplasty)

The mons pubis is made up of fatty tissue overlying the pubic bones, beneath the lower abdomen and above the pubic hairline.

Women with mons pubis enlargement often identify a mound, bulging, or puffiness at the level of the pubic bone. This often follows or is caused by c-sections, abdominoplasty, weight gain or weight loss.

Mons pubis reduction can be combined with labia majora reduction to help reduce the excess fatty tissue in this area and help reduce bulging. We typically recommend 1-2 weeks off of work after your procedure to allow for comfort and healing.

We start with an in person consultation to discuss the anatomy and expected outcomes and from there get you scheduled. We typically ask our patients traveling from out of state to stay locally for a few days after surgery, in the instance there are any issues after surgery.
